Volunteer Posts Offered
Established in February 2008 and based in Damerham, FunQuest is a voluntary organisation that is tasked with providing facilities and activities for young people in the village. FunQuest delivers actions requested by children in the Damerham Community Plan. So far over £70,000 has been raised through partnerships with a variety of funding bodies (including our own Parish Council). This has been used to build an award winning playtrail on West Park Meadow and to pay for an ongoing calendar of events and activities.
FunQuest’s Trustees are now looking to expand the team of volunteers who run the organisation and its calendar of events. In particular are looking for:
Clerk to the Trustees
Duties include: Organisation and administration of FunQuest meetings, maintaining and updating the diary of events, drafting reports and correspondence, attendance at meetings (circa 8-10 per annum), responsible for filing and archives. To be successful, you are likely to be a well-organised person, computer literate (email, internet, familiar with Microsoft Office), enjoy working with a variety of people and have excellent communication skills.
Event Coordinators
A variety of events are planned for 2010-2011 ranging from Bushcraft to Cookery Classes and Mural Painting to Dance Workshops. Event Coordinators can choose to take responsibility for one or more events and will be supported by the Trustees to plan and organise these.

In return for your time and efforts, FunQuest can offer opportunities to develop skills in working with young people (useful if you are looking for a career in this sector), join in with training and other activities contributing to FunQuest’s development. Most of all, it’s an opportunity to experience new things and to have great fun.
Sadly we cannot yet afford to pay a salary, but we will pay all expenses connected with carrying out the Clerk’s job.
